Taunton Town extended their unbeaten record to seventeen matches in the Evo-Stik League South West on Saturday when they bottom side Bishops Cleeve 4-0 at the Viridor Stadium on Saturday.
The Peacocks lead the table by eight points from Salisbury FC, who have played two more matches.
In front of a crowd of 436, the home side took lead through Matt Wright’s header in the 17th minute.
They went 2-0 up via Dan Sullivan’s penalty on 37 minutes after Wright was pushed over.
Two minutes into the second half, Sullivan scored another penalty and on 71 minutes, Pierce Mitchell calmly finished to make it 4-0.
Salisbury had a comfortable 6-2 win at the Ray Mac against Yate Town in front of 567.
It was 3-0 at the break, with goals from Tom Whelan after 7 minutes, Aaron Dawson after 26 minutes and Kane O`Keefe on 35 minutes.
Whelan notched a his second after 56 minutes swiftly followed by a Stuart Green effort.
Yate pulled two back through Steve Davies after 69 minutes and Ross Langworthy 10 minutes later, but O`Keefe had the last word with a sixth and his second 7 minutes from time.
Salisbury possess a seven-point lead from third-placed Bristol Manor Farm, despite their 3-0 home win over fourth-bottom Slimbridge.
All the goals came in the first half from Troy Simpson, Aron Robbins and Dean Stamp.
Only four points though separate fourth-placed AFC Totton and Wimborne Town in tenth.
The Stags won 2-0 at Testwood Stadium against Larkhall Athletic, thanks to second half goals from Craig Feeney and Tony Lee.
Winchester City and Evesham United currently occupy the final play-off spots, although City could only manage a 1-1 draw at third-bottom Mangotsfield United, whose Simon Gilbert cancelled out Jamie Barron`s 67th minute opener just 4 minutes from time.
Evesham made no mistake at second-bottom Barnstaple Town – Matt Liddiard after half-an-hour and Adam Mann 5 minutes from time sealing a 2-0 verdict.
The two teams immediately outside the top six, Didcot Town and Swindon Supermarine, shared a 0-0 draw at the Loop Meadow, while the two below them, Bideford AFC and Wimborne Town, shared a 2-2 draw in Dorset.
But it will be Biddy who will be the happier as they came back from 2-0 down to draw late on.
Lee Francis gave the Magpies a 17th minute lead.
They then had James Stokoe dismissed just after half-time after a scrap, but Toby Holmes doubled the ten-men`s lead on 77 minutes.
But goals from Ben Seymour on 84 minutes and then Kevin Squire 6 minutes into time added on at the end of the game salvaged a point for the Devonians.
Shortwood United won 2-1 at home against fast falling North Leigh, thanks to Liam Meredith after 65 minutes and then Ryan Meredith in stoppage time – all after Roger James had given the Oxfordshire side a 25th minute lead.
Mark Janes bagged a brace to help North Leigh`s neighbours Kidlington to a 4-1 home win over Cinderford Town – Lance Williams and a Duran Martin spot-kick adding the others with Joe Hunt netting a late consolation for the Foresters.
And Ben Whitehead netted a double in the 40th and 82nd minutes to seal Cirencester Town`s 2-1 home win over Paulton Rovers, whose Sam Hedges had given them a 9th minute lead.
