Two new signings

Evo-Stik League South West leaders Taunton Town have begun the New Year with a couple of new signings in their ranks.

The Peacocks have signed defender Toby Down on loan from SkyBet League Two neighbours Exeter City.

Down, a product of the Exeter academy, has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Grecians and spent a large spell of the 2016/17 season on loan with Evo-Stik League South Premier side Dorchester Town.

Ahead of the current season, the now 24-year-old moved to Dorchester`s league rivals Weymouth on a loan deal which expired on New Year`s Eve.

Meanwhile, Craig Veal returns to the Viridor from league rivals Bideford AFC.
