Magee, pictured, picked up the injury to his left hand early on in his club's 2-1 semi-final heartbreak at Salisbury on Wednesday night but battled on for Paul Collicutt's side at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium until half-time.
The 27-year-old, who started the season at Bishop's Cleeve before switching to the Robins in September, has also turned out for Stratford Town and spent time playing in the USA and Iceland since being on the books of Bristol City.
After finishing the EVO-STIK League Southern South & West campaign with 12 goals in 20 starts after the club's extra-time defeat, the forward is confident he will be ready for pre-season training after getting the operation out of the way.
Magee told gloucestershirelive.co.uk on Saturday: "I was reaching behind me to feel where the defender was and he grabbed my hand but I thought I'd honestly just dislocated my finger. It happened about five or 10 minutes in and it probably didn't help falling on it a few times too and it was not a nice feeling."
