St Ives sign new Defender

By Jack Moore

Rogan McGeorge has joined Evo-Stik League South Premier club St Ives Town from Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Newmarket Town.

The 26-year-old is certainly no stranger to Southern Premier football, having been with St Ives`s neighbours and league rivals St Neots Town prior to joining the Jockeys in the summer.

McGeorge started his career with Cambridge United and then spent two seasons with Soham Town Rangers after being released by the U`s.

Spells with Wisbech Town, Hitchin Town and Histon followed before he joined St Neots in the summer of 2016.

Meanwhile, former Barton Rovers winger Jimmy Hartley has left the Saints for personal and travel reasons.
