Manor Farm Return To Second Spot

Bristol Manor Farm moved back to second place in the Evo-Stik League South, West table on Saturday after winning one of just three out of the five games originally scheduled.

Manor Farm entertained neighbours Paulton Rovers and got off to a great start when Troy Simpson gave them an early 4th minute lead.

But James Byrne pulled Rovers back on level terms from the penalty spot after 33 minutes.

Eight minutes into the second half though, Manor Farm were back in front with a penalty of their own, converted by Kye Holly.

And 4 minutes later, Simpson made it 3-1 to the home side, and hopes of a Rovers` comeback disappeared in the 77th minute when they had keeper Andrew Hannah sent-off for deliberate handball after he slid out to collect the ball.

Didcot Town moved into the top six after winning the derby at the Loop Meadow against North Leigh.

Adam Learoyd gave the Railwaymen a 22nd minute lead.

Then Felipe Barcelos took over with a brace in the 58th and 90th minutes.

Cinderford Town moved up to sixteenth in the table as they beat fourth-bottom Slimbridge 1-0 at Wisloe Road.

The only goal of the game came after 15 minutes when a corner was headed home by Dan Clare at the far post.

Cinderford were made to sweat for the final 17 minutes though after Blaine Waugh received a straight red card for an alleged stamp on Sam Turl.
