Salisbury Youth steps forward..

Big call up for Salisbury Youth .. making the grade

Salisbury Football Club are extremely pleased and proud to announce that four of our players have been chosen to be in an FA Representative Squad in a Fixture at Melksham Town FC on Wednesday 11th October 2017 for the Western League's 125 Anniversary.

Charlie Searle, Jake Wannell, Tom Whelan and Elliot Wheeler will all line up for an FA XI against a Western League Representative XI. The FA XI will be managed by 'England C' Manager Paul Fairclough, assisted by Salisbury FC's Mick Jenkins.

Mick Jenkins spoke of the announcement 'I'm delighted to be invited into the England C environment, obviously I'm looking forward to the fixture and working with Paul Fairclough, who is a well-respected Manager and Coach.

"I think it's a nice reward for the players and for myself, it's a great opportunity for those from this club and the others involved to showcase their talents on the night"

General Manager, Thom Belk was delighted with the news

On behalf of the club I'd like to say how incredibly proud we are that Charlie, Jake, Tom and Elliot have been chosen for this fantastic opportunity."

"Jenks' has been working very hard on this behind the scene's for the last few weeks, this is really great experience for him also."
