St Neots Town recovered from Saturday`s 4-3 defeat at Kings Langley to inflict a 4-0 drubbing on Dorchester Town at the Avenue Stadium on Monday night.
Unfortunately, the day`s rain led to the postponement of leaders Hereford FC`s game at Top Field against Hitchin Town, but, although very wet, the match in Dorset went ahead.
And it saw the Saints take an early 6th minute lead when good work from Kyran Wiltshire led to Tom Meechan firing past home `keeper Chris Weale.
The visitors were well on top and doubled their lead in the 17th minute with Wiltshire again the provider for Dion Sembie-Ferris to score from just inside the box.
The second half started badly for the Magpies as they fell three behind after just 2 minutes when Meechan set up Nabil Shariff to slide the ball past Weale.
And the Cambridgeshire side wrapped up victory just shy of the hour-mark when Shariff netted his second following a goalmouth scamble.
The win lifts St Neots up to twelfth in the table, while Dorchester remain in twentieth.
