Reds strengthen defence and Harris completes third signing since appointment
Redditch United is delighted to unveil the signing of central defender, Louis Ezewele, from Tamworth on an 18-month contract.
The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bristol Rovers prospect, who turns 21 this month, is Tim Harris’ third signing since arriving at The TRICO in December. The Reds boss has already bolstered the squad with forward, Edji Mbunga, and on-loan midfielder, Adam Page.
Ezewele is known for his no-nonsense attitude and battling qualities, and he will add strong competition in defence.
Harris said he was delighted to attract such a high-calibre player to Redditch United and believes Ezewele will make a good impression:
“Louis is someone I was keen to sign at a previous club but, unfortunately, the move didn’t come to fruition. He boasts some excellent attributes, and, excitedly, at only 20 there is plenty of potential to unlock.
“Injuries haven’t been kind to him, so he hasn’t played as many matches as he would like, but he went out on loan to gain match fitness, and he is keen to make a fresh start, showcase his talent and work hard for the team. I am delighted to have gained his signature.”
