STUART FLEETWOOD led a sparkling display of finishing with four goals to seal a first win for new Redditch boss Tim Harris.
The striker, who has joined from Merthyr Town, was in scintillating form as the Reds recovered from the shock of conceding to first to wrap their biggest league victory of the season.
It could have been more with plenty of chances being created but Harris was delighted with the hard-working endeavours of his side and their slick play and ruthless finishing.
With three new faces making their Trico Stadium debuts - Adam Page, Fleetwood and Louis Ezewele - and a fourth coming off the bench in Myles Phipps, Redditch started brightly but were stunned when Farnborough scored from an 11th-minute corner.
Nic Ciardini curled in the flag-kick from the right and Josh Huggins ghosted in to put the ball into the net via his knee.
The Reds could have stuttered but they bounced back within two minutes to level with Page, making his home debut after joining on loan from Cheltenham, tucking home a knock-back from Marcel Simpson after the defender had got onto the end of an Ashley Sammons’ free-kick.
A similar move brought another Reds’ goal on the half hour, Simpson slotting home from a Danny Jackman free-kick before Fleetwood, signed from Merthyr Town, sparked a finishing masterclass.
Sammons set up Page and the latter’s cross was slotted home by Fleetwood for a simple close-range finish two minutes before half-time and then Fleetwood converted another Page-Ashley Sammons combination on 50 minutes.
Two minutes later it was 5-1 as Fleetwood raced on to Edji Mbunga’s through-ball and smashed past keeper Pat O’Flaherty before another ball over the top was collected by the free-running forward who lobbed the keeper on the hour.
The Reds seemed capable of unlocking the visitors’ defence every time they got into their half.
With Sammons and Jackman controlling midfield, and the pace of Page, Mbunga and Tristan Dunkley, the Reds continued to threaten in the final 20 minutes.
Mbunga, Dunkley and Fleetwood all went close but the best goal of the game came ten minutes from time. Sammons did brilliantly to glide past a marker and ping out a pass to full-back Lewis Wright who cut from the right and lashed in a low shot into the bottom far corner.
