Hailed as 'Mr Aylesbury' before and after passing with his family by his side in hospital on Thursday 4 May following a recent battle with illness, the funeral of the lifelong fan and former player is taking place at the Crownhill Crematorium in Milton Keynes at 10.45am on Wednesday 24 May.
Mourners attending the service and celebration planned afterwards at Haywood Way from 12.30pm were invited to attend both events in the club's colours on Friday in a statement announcing the funeral arrangements.
Fans of the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central's Moles and many other people from throughout the game who knew 'Mr Aylesbury' have flooded social media with tributes since his sad passing at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
After paying tribute to the "huge legacy in their town and beyond" he leaves behind, Moles supporter Shelly Dennington set up an online fundraising page on Wednesday to raise £5,000 towards the cost of his funeral to help his wife and daughters give him the "send-off he deserves". By Friday, nearly 40 fans had already raised more than £750.
