Rebels sign experienced midfielder

We are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of experienced midfielder Scott Davies.

Scott began his career as a professional at Reading and played around 100 games in the Football League, the majority of which were on loan in League One and League Two. He also scored the goal that got Aldershot Town promoted back to the Football League for the first time.

Over the past three seasons he has made well over 100 appearances in the Conference South for Wealdstone, Oxford City and this season for Chelmsford City. The travelling to Essex has not been ideal and he has been looking for a new challenge and is excited by the prospect of helping our promotion challenge.

Having just turned 30 and with great experience under his belt, we feel Scott will be a valuable addition at this stage of the season and subject to the paperwork going through we look forward to welcoming him straight in to the squad for the trip to St Ives tomorrow night.
