Rebels get ready for Poppies

Play Off Final

After a fantastic 46 game league campaign our season now comes down to one, or potentially two games and we now entertain an excellent Kettering Town team in our bid for National League South football next season.

As has been mentioned previously, it is extremely hard to pick a squad let alone pick a starting eleven, as every player that has been with us this season has made a huge impact.

In terms of squad news, the bad news is that Ben Harris has had a reaction from Saturday’s game, was unable to train last night and will be ruled out for tomorrow due to his hamstring.

However other than that we are fully fit, which means two will miss out on the 16 man squad. The first is Harrison Gilkes, who has had his injury issues this season, and despite getting some minutes at the back end of the season, we feel that this is probably just a little too soon for him, and we expect to see him much more next season after a full pre-season campaign.

The second player is Josh Jackman, who has had a very good season and has had numerous starts this year after breaking into the squad last year.

It is a very difficult decision to leave Josh out, as his performances have been very good and attitude incredible, however we are only able to pick 16 and the experience of others has just slightly counted against him on this occasion, but again he is a player we rate highly and will be inviting back next season.
