BANBURY United manager Mike Ford is relishing the chance to pull off a shock win when his side visit Evo-Stik South League Premier Division leaders Kings Lynn Town tomorrow.
The Puritans produced an excellent display to beat Slough Town 1-0 last weekend, but Ford knows that his side face an even tougher test tomorrow, with the Norfolk club having lost just once at home all season.
“We can go to Kings Lynn with a lot more belief on the back of last week’s display,” Ford said.
“The first thing we have to do is make sure that we prepare well. We are playing the leaders, so we will have to be as professional and as disciplined as we were last week.”
The Puritans are set to include new signing Amer Awadh, a 20-year-old striker who has previously been at Oxford City.
Awadh has more recently been playing for Fanja SC in Oman and has now had international clearance to make his debut.
“Amer has nice ability and is very tenacious with an excellent attitude,” Ford said. “He will be in the squad and we want to give him a go between now and the end of the season.”
