Pike Swoops For Experienced Howell

Alex Pike, manager of Evo-Stik League South Premier club Gosport Borough, has signed experienced and much-travelled midfielder Simeon Howell.

Howell joins from Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Flackwell Heath.

Originally a pro at Reading, the now 32-year-old will add a great deal of experience in the midfield.

After several loan spells whilst on the Royals` books with the likes of Farnborough Town and Forest Green Rovers, Howell joined Sutton United briefly upon his release from the Madejski Stadium.

Spells with Basingstoke Town, Hartley Wintney, Abingdon United, Thatcham Town, Fleet Town and Flackwell followed.

Howell is expected to be in the Boro squad for tomorrow’s trip to Banbury United.
