Paulton Rovers were edged out in an entertaining game at Cirencester thanks to an 82nd minute winner by striker Ben Whitehead.
In an end to end first half, Rovers took the lead on 8 minutes thanks to a towering header by Sam Hedges at the back post after an inch perfect left foot cross by impressive debutant Nuno Fleix.
After good chances at both ends, Rovers had a golden chance to double the lead following great work by Dave Sims who beat two defenders before flicking the ball inside to Jack Ball who dragged his shot just wide of the post.
On the 40th minute, Cirencester got their equaliser after striker Ben Whitehead latched onto a through ball and finished past Hannah.
The action continued at both ends in the second half with both teams looking for the winner. Firstly Morgan-Williams curled over for Rovers in the 81st minute and then one minute later, Ben Whitehead rifled home from the edge of the box to put the home side infront.
Cirencester had a great chance to put the game to bed 1 minute later when Tommy Anderson had the goal at his mercy but somehow put his chance wide.
Rovers pushed for the equaliser in the dying minutes but Cirencester held firm to hang on for all 3 points.
