Biggleswade Town boss Chris Nunn was delighted with a 1-0 victory in ‘must win’ Redditch United match on Saturday as the Waders boss lauded ‘outstanding’ Jack Bowen.
The Waders ended a four game loss streak on Saturday as they made a good performance count for the first time this month. In their three Evo-Stik Southern Premier League narrow losses and one win in February, the Waders have conceded five and scored three, all against opposition higher in the league.
Striker Jack Bowen scored the winner after 39 minutes, the Waders’ summer signing eventually earning man of the match.
“I thought he was outstanding, a constant threat. He worked his socks off.
“He started the season off really well for us and then got a really bad hamstring injury. He wasn’t showing the same form since returning but he took his goal really well on Saturday.
“With 10 minutes to go he’d given everything and I like that in players, I don’t like players to try to get to 90 minutes.
