John Brough has confirmed he will stand down as manager of Evo-Stik League South West club North Leigh at the end of the season.
Brough, who has been in charge at Eynsham Park for two seasons, believes the time is right for both himself and the club to move on, after a challenging second year.
The former Shrewsbury Town, Hereford United and Cheltenham Town defender took over at North Leigh in May 2016 having led Cinderford Town to the Evo-Stik South & West title that season.
However, he resigned after the club initially declined promotion to the Premier Division.
But when Mark Gee stepped down as Millers boss following an eighteen-year reign, the 45-year-old had no hesitation making his move.
The Millers had a hugely successful first season under Brough as he oversaw the club’s best-ever run in the Emirates FA Cup, victory in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup and a challenge for the play-offs.
He told the Witney Gazette: “This year has been a big disappointment.
“This was due in a large part to the budget cut that we had to endure.
