Nightingale Strengthens Squad

Two sign for Lilywhites

Cambridge City manager Robbie Nightingale has today made a double signing as he boosts his squad ahead of the trip to Aylesbury United on Saturday.

Joining are two players who previously played for the Lilywhites. First, Jordan Williams returns to Westwood Road initially on a 1 month loan from Brackley Town. Jordan needs no introduction to the City fans as the centre back is the current players player of the year after spending the whole of last season at City on loan from Cambridge United. His appearances with Brackley have been limited this year, but the switch to City should see him get regular first team football.

The club is also delighted to announce that returning to City is striker James Hall. James made himself an instant favourite with the fans after he first signed for the club midway through season 2015/16 and went onto score 14 goals in 23 appearances. He left City at the end of that season, and returns to the Lilywhites after a spell at landlords St Ives Town.

Making the switch to St Ives is midfielder Ollie Snaith who joins the Saints on loan.

City boss Robbie Nightingale said “I am delighted to bring these two players back to Cambridge City. Everyone knows of their capabilities and I have no doubt that they will prove to be two excellent additions to the squad that will be beneficial for us as a team, and also excite the supporters”.
