EVO-STIK South - East Division: Kempston Rovers 0 Cambridge City 4

Needing to get back to winning ways, City had to overcome Kempston's solid home record that had seen them lose only twice in thirteen outings, winning seven of them, and they certainly did that, taking just half an hour to race into an unassailable three goal lead.

City really hit the ground running, taking the lead after only three minutes. Jack Vasey, back in the starting line-up following injury, got on the end of Ben Robinson's excellent cross to head home.

With an early grip on the game, City underlined their good start by doubling their lead soon after, and Robinson was again the provider, producing a pinpoint centre for Ryan Sharman to head home his 25th goal of the campaign.

Just before the half hour mark and the game was as good as over. This time Robinson turned goalgetter, netting his first goal of the season to, barring a stunning Kempston comeback, all but guarantee a win for the Lilywhites.

Kempston pressed briefly after the break, but City were very much on the front foot and Ryan Towner followed Robinson in the first half by netting his first of the season and City's 4th just before the 70th minute mark.

With no way back for the home side, City were able to comfortably see out the remaining minutes to record only their third clean sheet in the League this season, but more importantly, three points that moves them back up to 4th in the table
