New signing's stay could be brief

EVO-STIK League Southern Cinderford Town could turn out to be a revolving door for their latest signing Curtis Watkins.

Signed last week, the 21-year-old former Cardiff City youngster, pictured, represented Wales in the Victory Shield and at U17, U18, and U19 levels. After making his debut in the club's 3-2 midweek defeat at Cirencester Town, the central defender has now been invited for a fortnight’s trial with League Two outfit Crewe Alexandra.

Another former Cardiff and Wales player being linked with Cinderford ahead of their clash with Hayes & Yeading United in the EVO-STIK League Southern's top flight at the Causeway Ground on Saturday is striker Jaye Bowen.

He partnered Foresters front man Gethyn Hill at youth level for both for Cardiff and his country. His dad Jason Bowen was capped twice for Wales and also was on the books of Swansea City, Birmingham City and Cardiff.
