Monday's Evo-Stik South, East Round-Up

Switched AFC Rushden & Diamonds and newcomers Moneyfields are the only teams still unbeaten in the Evo-Stik League South East, but the former dropped points for the first time this season on Bank Holiday Monday.

iamonds were held to a 1-1 draw by Kempston Rovers in front of 482 at a Hillgrounds stadium they were due to share before managing to get their Hayden Road ground ready in time.

Joel Gyasi put the visitors in front after just 8 minutes. However, the side who had struck seven 48 hours earlier, weren`t able to add to their tally this time, and it was former Diamonds striker, Jake Newman, who equalised after 22 minutes.

Moneyfields won 4-1 at Fleet Town`s Calthorpe Park, making it a thoroughly miserable holiday weekend for the hosts., who conceded seven at Diamonds.

They actually led through Brad Wilson after 15 minutes, but only for 2 minutes as Ryan Pennery equalised just 2 minutes later.

Conor Bailey put Moneys in front 2 minutes after that and then Brett Poate made it 3-1 just 8 minutes into the second had, with Nathan Paxton rounding things off with a fourth goal 2 minutes into stoppage time.

The two other teams who came into Bank Holiday Monday`s fixtures unbeaten, both lost.

Newly-promoted Ashford Town (Middx) and Hartley Wintney lost at home to Egham Town and away at Marlow respectively.

The Ash Trees were two-up by the 18th minute at home to neighbours Egham, thanks to Mark Bitmead`s fine free-kick and Dan Fleming.

Matt Woods reduced the deficit 7 minutes before the break, and then Brendan Matthew on the hour-mark and Mitch Wiseman 2 minutes into stoppage time won local bragging rights for the Sarnies.

Allen Bossman gave Marlow a 12th minute lead at home to Hartley Wintney and on the half-hour mark, Chris Ovenden doubled that from the penalty spot.

Jordace Holder-Spooner made sure with a third in the 86th minute.

AFC Dunstable were the day`s biggest winners, 5-0 at the other league newcomer, Thame United.

Jermaine Hall helped himself to a hat-trick in the 29th, 31st and then the 67th minute from the spot after Nathan Frater had given them an 8th minute lead – new signing Louis Bircham adding the other on the hour-mark.

Cambridge City found form at the New Eyrie against Bedford Town, running out 4-1 winners in front of 311.

They got a great start when Ryan Sharman converted an early 3rd minute penalty.

James Peters equalised after 24 minutes, but Salim Relizani restored the visitors` lead just before the break.

econd half goals from Jordan Gent and a Tom Knowles spot-kick made the final outcome 4-1.

A crowd of 356 saw the Ducks of Aylesbury United come out on top against the home Moles of Aylesbury FC.

Jack Wood was the visitors` hero with a 37th minute winner.

Jack Cass bagged a brace in 3 minutes for Chalfont St Peter to eventually see off hosts Beaconsfield Town at Holloways Park.

Charlie Losasso had given Town a 27th minute lead before Cass struck around the half-hour mark.

Uxbridge achieved their third win, 2-0 at Hanwell Town, thanks to Rhys Rabess and Anthony Thomas goals in the final 19 minutes.

Tom Boxer gave Northwood an 18th minute lead at Chestnut Avenue against Hayes & Yeading United.

Evans Kouassi made sure with a second for Woods just 7 minutes later.

The derby between Barton Rovers and Arlesey Town at Sharpenhoe Road ended honours` even, with Luke Abraham`s 31st minute own goal being cancelled out by Kim Forsythe for Town on 37 minutes.
