March's top performers named!

Chippenham Town, Kempston Rovers and Evesham United are the EVO-STIK League Southern's penultimate Team of the Month Award winners of the 2016-17 season!

The trio were celebrating on Wednesday after being named as March's winners of the monthly honours which are being sponsored by the Southern League's title sponsors EVO-STIK to recognise and reward the top performers in the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division, Division One Central and Division One South & West.

Like all EVO-STIK League Southern performance kings, the trio are now looking forward to being presented with cut glass trophies to record their achievements and 4.5L bottles of Bell's Whisky to celebrate their success with at upcoming fixtures by representatives of the league and sponsors EVO-STIK.

Under the guidance of manager Mark Collier, the top of the table and title-chasing Bluebirds are looking forward to collecting their third performance accolade of the season after earlier successes in August and February.

Currently six points clear at the top of the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division table, the Bluebirds were stand-out contenders for March's honours after taking maximum points from four wins in four outings, Collier's men scoring nine goals along the way and conceding just three times.

Play-off chasing Kempston Rovers are no strangers to the monthly accolades after winning September's honours in the EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One Central. To win for a second time in March, joint managers Jimmy Stoyles and Gary Flinn and their Walnut Boys took seven points from a possible nine in the league to average 2.333 points per game. In two wins and two draws they netted 10 goals and conceded four.

Paul Collicutt and Evesham United side are also chasing promotion after their form over the last four weeks earned the Robins their first performance accolade of the season in EVO-STIK League Southern's Division One South & West. Currently fifth, Collicutt's men collected 13 points from a possible 15 in four wins and a draw to average 2.6 points per game. Aliong the way, the Robins scored eight times while conceding just twice.
