Mangotsfield sign three

Mangotsfield United have re-signed two of last season`s squad and brought in a new midfielder.

Joining ‘The Mangos’ is Ryan Gissing from Toolstation Western League Premier Division neighbours Clevedon Town.

Gissing was formally part of the Bristol Rovers academy before becoming Clevedon`s under-18 captain and a regular in their first-team.

He has since won the first-team players` player of the Year award and is well on the way to passing 100 appearances after making his senior debut in August 2016.

Joining Gissing, both George Lloyd and Sam Hill have also joined the Cossham Street outfit.

Lloyd, 25-year-old forward, previously played for Western League side Bitton AFC making 35 appearances in 2017/18, scoring twice.

Hill is a 23-year-old who has made only a few appearances for Field over the last few seasons. Having been with Mangotsfield Sports previously he joined Little Stoke FC in the Gloucestershire County League where he was scoring goals for fun, leading Mangotsfield to re-sign him.

Son of Mangotsfield goalscoring legend John 'Chopper' Hill, Sam made 14 appearances for Mangotsfield last season after returning in January, scoring twice.
