Making the grade to bounce back

EVO-STIK League Southern Farnborough have been given the green light for promotion by the Football Association after passing their latest ground-grading inspection at Cherrywood Road.

Farnborough chairman Simon Gardener thanked the management, ground staff and volunteers at the EVO-STIK League Southern Division One Central club for their efforts after the stadium was awarded the FA's Category B Grading to play at National League South level.

In a statement on Wednesday, Gardener said: "Many hours of hard work have gone into helping the Ground receive this grading. Come wind, rain, snow and sun there are always people giving up their free time and volunteering. The club continues to move forward and work towards improving. Thank you all."

Without a game this weekend, Spencer Day and his second place side will hope to take their next steps towards achieving the Hampshire club's dream at promotion rivals AFC Dunstable next Tuesday night (November 15).
