Long trip to Oxfordshire

By David Simpson

4 games in seven days

Bideford’s trip to Kidlington tonight is their longest of the season. It’s also the second time the Robins have made the journey – the game between the two in February was abandoned before half-time with the score at 1-0.

“Whatever happens on Monday is a bonus, we’ve still got Thursday and Saturday to come,” said Joyce.

“If we can pick nine points out of these four games I’ll be happy.

“We’ve had 18 postponements, two abandonments. I’ve never known a season like it but fair play to the lads, they keep going.”

Saturday was a massive win, keeping them ' in the hunt'

“It sums our season up at home, we should have been 3-0 up in five minutes,” he said.

“I’m really pleased with the effort and work rate and the chances we’ve created. It was important to win – massively.
