Linnets set for top of the table clash

Two teams in form

Town host arguably the Southern Premier Division’s “match of the day” on Saturday when Weymouth visit The Walks (3pm).

This first versus fourth encounter promises to be an all action affair with Lynn looking to consolidate their league position and the visitors aiming to apply even more pressure on the teams above them.

Speaking to www.kltown.co.uk ahead of the game manager Ian Culverhouse confirmed he is looking forward to the action this weekend.

“It’s what football should all be about said Culverhouse, Two teams in decent form and two teams who try and play football in what I would call the right way.

The game down at theirs for the neutral was great entertainment with lots going on, From our point of view it was disappointing to lose the game after forcing our way back into it.

“If memory serves me right their goalkeeper had an outstanding game including a penalty save and he was the difference between us getting something from the game.

“It’s going to be another test for us and we need everyone right behind us from the first whistle to the last, They are in my opinion, one of the better teams in the league and have some talented players in their squad.

Having said that we are the same and I would like to think that we have delivered some good entertainment for our supporters this season to date.

We need the crowd behind us – it can make a big difference and with a bit of noise and added support it could be a cracking atmosphere inside the ground. Things are progressing along ok I would say but we still need to be better in certain areas at times and that is something myself and the squad will continue to work on going forward.
