After a break from Southern League action The Linnets return with a home game against Banbury United, Lynn defeated “The Puritans” in November 2-1 thanks for first half goals from Michael Clunan and Cameron Norman.
Despite the break, Lynn remain top of the table only now by a single point thanks to Hereford’s late winner against Biggleswade on Saturday.
Manager Ian Culverhouse spoke to kltown.co.uk and had this to say.
“A break is always good as it gives us chance to get some rest into some tired legs, We had a a few lads carrying knocks so the rest has certainly freshened the boys up.
“It’s a shame that the break came when it did as I thought we was playing some very good stuff, The lads have been training hard and the energy levels, and team spirit is high as we enter the business end of the season.
“Banbury is going to be a tough game, We played well at their place, Scored a couple of early goals and dictated most of the game, Fingers crossed we can perform like that again in front of our fans.
Culverhouse will have Leon Mettam available for selection after the striker returned to training this week after a niggling hip injury has seen him sidelined for a few games.
Some good news also on Tom Ward, Ward is currently undergoing some intense physiotherapy on his shoulder and is aiming to back for the Tiverton game on the 24th.
The news on recent signing Cameron King isn’t so good, The ankle injury he picked up against Hereford is going to rule him out for 4-6 weeks.
