Lilywhites to push on

By David Simpson

Into home straight

The match comes 48 hours on from the Lilywhites dramatic point at Dunstable. James Hall was the City hero bagging a 98th minute equaliser. The point means that City are well within the play-off mix and a win tonight will put them hot on the heels of the teams above them with the Lilywhites having games in hand.

The task tonight will not be easy against a Hanwell side who took a point off City in the reverse fixture earlier in the season. The visitors are 19th in the table with 33 points and on Saturday won 3-2 at bottom side Arlesey.

A win for City today will take them above Dunstable and into 5th place. However, that position could be short lived if Dunstable beat Rushden & Diamonds tomorrow night. The match tonight is one of 3 City will play this week with a trip to Northwood on Wednesday night followed by a mouth-watering encounter at home to Rushden & Diamonds on Saturday.

With City entering the home straight, pushing for promotion and the weather set fair
