SWINDON Supermarine chief Lee Spalding says his side must be more imposing if they are to come away with a positive result against high-flying Salisbury this evening.
Marine led for the majority of Saturday’s Southern League West clash against Winchester City before conceding late on, in a 1-1 draw at the Webbswood Stadium.
Despite that, Spalding’s side are unbeaten in their last five matches, as their Wiltshire rivals and fellow promotion chasers arrive and Spalding insists his troops must be ready to get in Salisbury’s faces on home turf.
“I felt we weren’t at our best on Saturday and we lacked shape at times. We were so open, especially down the middle of the pitch,” he said “I don’t think we got in their faces enough and we certainly didn’t impose our game on them – it looked like they had an extra man in midfield at times.
“I felt in the second half on Saturday we could have kept the ball better, I don’t think we punished them enough.
“It’s was a good point and we are on a good run and we will take our five-game unbeaten run into tonight’s game with Salisbury.”
