With Dunstable’s regular goalkeeper, Nick Hayes, currently on-loan to The Blues from SkyBet Championship side Ipswich Town, unavailable for next Tuesday’s match versus Bishops's Stortford due to an England (youth) call up.
The Blues have moved to sign experienced keeper Richard Lee
When Nick was called up to attend the England training camp, Knowing Dunstable Manager, Tony McCool, would be left in limbo Richard simply said: “How about this as an idea; I'll play the match that Nick misses, so he can play the next game" which the manager welcomed.
The young keeper who is mentored by Lee, had this to say of the loan keeper “Nick is a really great young goalkeeper, and has the potential to go all the way".
Richard has 'just’ released a new paperback book ’So, You Want To Be A Professional Footballer’, which talks about his experiences in the game and offers a lot of practical and psychological advice (not just for goalkeepers).
