League Congratulates - Paul Murray MBE

The Southern League wishes to congratulate Paul Murray
appointed a member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to Charity and the Community in Winchester.

Paul has just stepped down as Chairman of Winchester City Football Club. He took on this role in 2013 after the club had fallen on hard times but he has since been the driving force in turning it into a successful Southern League South West club, bringing great pleasure and enthusiasm to the City.

Previously he was chairman of Eastleigh Football Club (2006-2012), which Paul turned from an unincorporated committee run club into a limited company, playing within the Conference South (now the National League South).
