Kids party kicks off festive appeal!

EVO-STIK League Southern Hereford are opening a soup kitchen on Christmas Day and appealing for fans to donate any warm spare clothing to distribute to the homeless and needy around the county.

The big-hearted Bulls say their directors and staff will be feeding those in need in Radford's Bar at Edgar Street on the evening of Christmas Day after teaming up with local charity Open Door.

The runaway EVO-STIK STIK League Southern South & West leaders, who hosted their Junior Bulls Christmas party this week, pictured, will also be handing out some of the donated clothing to the homeless and those in need at the event.

Events manager James Smith told fans: "As a community club we realise that we have to try and offer help to as wide and varied cross section of the community as we can. By working with local charity Open Door we have approached the local homeless community with an offer of a warm meal and shelter on Christmas Day evening but we’d also like to be able to hand out some warm clothing to those who need as well.

"If anyone has any old jumpers, coats, hats, scarves or gloves lying around that they’d like to donate then they can drop them off at the main club reception throughout December. Any unused clothing will be donated to local charities."

Nearly 150 youngsters and their families attended the club's Christmas party this week, tucking into hot dogs, burgers, fries and salad with club mascot Edgar the Bull and a number of players and coaches before being entertained by ace magician Kiegan Vallely and heading home with presents from Father Christmas.
