Terras only Club for him

WEYMOUTH manager Mark Molesley says he is delighted with Jordan Ngalo’s decision to sign exclusively for Weymouth.

The deal was announced prior to the Terras’ 1-1 draw with Bishop’s Stortford at the Bob Lucas Stadium last Saturday, with Ngalo having impressed with appearances this season against Redditch United and Gosport Borough.

Molesley said: “He has committed his long-term future to the club which is great so he has committed and signed for us so he is our player so we are delighted to announce that.

“He is a young lad with a bright future ahead of him.

“We are glad he has chosen to join this football club and we hope to develop him and he can hopefully realise some of that potential he has got.”

Ngalo had been dual registered with Weymouth and Blackfield & Langley, who play in the

Sydenhams Wessex Premier Division, but now he has committed his future solely to the Terras.

Molesley added: “It is up to him now, he has done well to seal the move and get the contract and now it is how hard he is going to be willing to work to improve and realise his potential.

“He has chosen to join our football club which I think says a lot.

“He is obviously one for the future, one who we are going to be looking forward to working with.”

Molesley said: “He has been in and around the camp a couple of times and been involved so he has obviously liked what he has seen and we like what we have seen so hopefully a good decision from both parties.”

He missed the 1-1 draw with Bishop’s Stortford last weekend due to illness but started in the 1-0 defeat to Larkhall Athletic on Tuesday.

Speaking after the match against Larkhall Molesley said: “It was great for him. We need to get him fitter and sharper quickly. It is a jump up in levels for him to play with us so we want to get him up to our pace.

“I know what capability he has got so it was purely a fitness exercise for him tonight so I am glad to get 90 minutes under his belt.”

Ngalo has featured 26 times this season for Blackfield and Langley, scoring four goals, in addition to his appearances for Weymouth and has previously played for the England Schoolboys Under-18 team.

It had been announced by Poole that he had signed for them but went onto appear for Weymouth on the bench in the 5-0 defeat of Redditch United the day after.
