It’s a beautiful day and one that for Gosport Boro’ Fc heralds a new dawn.

Tonight marks the first Open Night to commemorate our new Academy in Partnership with St Vincent’s College here in Gosport.

It’s an alliance that’s been discerningly structured to offer a seamless football experience and exemplary education in one package.

So much time effort and funding has been invested in historical misdeeds at this club it’s an absolute pleasure and privilege to be now funding our future and that of your children.

We will have a number of dedicated and qualified coaches, top-class facilities and an approach as skillful as it is sustainable.

I look forward to meeting and working with as many of you there as is possible.

Many of the Academy students will be aspiring no doubt to play football at as high a level as possible and hopefully achieve that ambition.

Here at this club we will be monitoring their progress closely and in the event that Real Madrid doesn’t discover them hopefully we will.

Yes, that’s right Real Madrid here at Gosport Boro Fc. There are places still up for grabs for that once in a lifetime experience lasting five days with dedicated tuition from a team of Real Madrid’s coaches.

Now the immediate future of our first team in the Southern League Premier Division is under threat but still sustainable.

Despite recent setbacks and sizeable disappointment, we can salvage our hugely challenging season over the next three games and I still believe we will.
