Hitchin Town FC Set For Attendance Boost

By Jack Moore

Hitchin Town FC are hoping to attract 1,000 supporters to their home game against Stratford Town FC – the club’s designated Non-League Day match – after partnering with Kaizen Ticketing.

The ticketing software means the Evo-Stik League South Premier side can sell tickets online for the first time ever. This easier way of buying tickets will not only benefit existing Canaries supporters, but also help to attract new ones to Top Field ahead of the Non-League Day clash.

To celebrate Non League Day, a percentage of gate receipts generated for this match will go to Stevenage Haven – an organisation that provides shelter and support for single people experiencing homelessness in Stevenage and North Hertfordshire.

First introduced in 2010, Non-League Day encourages football supporters who would usually attend matches at the top of the football pyramid, to attend matches at their local non-league side.

Several non-league clubs are already using Kaizen Ticketing to sell match tickets, season tickets, memberships and merchandise. These include other Evo-Stik League South sides King’s Lynn Town and Basingstoke Town FC.

Roy Izzard, Club Secretary, Hitchin Town FC, said: “The club’s partnership with Kaizen Ticketing is a huge step forward for our club and supporters. Anyone can now buy tickets online, so we are hopeful we’ll get a bumper crowd on Saturday. A percentage of online ticket sales will also be donated to local homeless charity, Stevenage Haven.”

David Lynam, Founder, Kaizen Ticketing, said: “Everyone at Kaizen is delighted to be working with Hitchin Town FC for Non League Day and helping the club to get a larger crowd than usual through the gates. In so doing, we will be helping them to build relationships with new supporters and Canaries supporters of the future.”
