Highworth Town add new faces

By Jack Moore

HIGHWORTH Town boss Jeff Roberts says his squad is coming together nicely after the club announced an influx of new arrivals for the coming season.

Former Swindon Supermarine goalkeeper Connor Johns has agreed to join.

Ryan Wood, Darren Jeffries and Matty Grabe are other new names to head to the Worthians, joining from Supermarine, Frome Town and North Leigh respectively.

Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser boss Roberts said: “We have brought Connor Johns in from Shrivenham after I tried to get him in last year too.“Ryan Wood is another one we have signed. He wasn’t enjoying his football at Supermarine, so I sat with him and told him what our intentions are for the season.

Four players from last season's squad have also agreed to stay on, with Ash Edenborough, Keiron Gleed, Wayne Turk and Jordan Roberts all keen to remain.
