Hicks becomes a Diamond

Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division Central newcomers AFC Rushden & Diamonds have signed.....Nathan Hicks for the forthcoming 2018/19 season after impressing in pre-season.

Twenty-six-year-old Hicks is no stranger to the area after his two spells with neighbours and new league rivals Kettering Town.

Hicks, who has also served Histon, Leamington, Alfreton Town and Nuneaton Town, made his Poppies debut against Redditch United during the 2012/13 season, going onto make 86 appearances, scoring 13 goals in two spells with the club.

He signed for another Southern Premier Central outfit, Biggleswade Town, in September 2017 and was a permanent fixture in the Waders midfield.

He has featured in every pre-season friendly so far for Diamonds, scoring at Newport Pagnell Town.
