Evo-Stik Southern League South club Hendon have signed experienced striker Rene Howe for the forthcoming season.
The 31-year-old was with Southern League Central side Kettering Town where he scored 63 goals in two spells in 168 appearances.
Bedford-born Howe came through the ranks at the New Eyrie, making 81 appearances and scoring 31 goals, before being signed by Kettering for the first time in May 2006 as a 19-year-old.
A consistent goalscorer throughout his time with the Poppies, Howe went on to make 40 appearances and scored 25 times before joining Peterborough United in May 2007 for an undisclosed fee.
With few appearances in his first Posh season, Howe went out on loan at Rochdale before later joining Morecambe on loan for the 2008/09 season.
In 2010, he joined Gillingham on loan before another loan move to the sadly now defunct Rushden & Diamonds until the following January but then joined Bristol Rovers - again on loan - less than a month after his return from Nene Park.
He signed for Torquay United on a two-year contract in July 2011, making 81 appearances and scoring 28 goals.
Following his release from Torquay in 2013, he signed for Burton Albion but was again released in January 2014 and quickly joined Newport County under his former Diamonds boss Justin Edinburgh.
