Squad streteched..

After two impressive wins against Moneyfields and Hayes & Yeading we came up against a strong Cambridge City side last week coming away from Westwood Road losing 5-1, our only goal scored by Anthony Thomas.

We now enter the busy Christmas period when we play five matches in fifteen days, Tony’s squad, like others will be stretched and we hope for no more injuries to key players.

On Saturday 16th we are back at Honeycroft looking to get back to winning ways.

We first met Barton Rovers in 1982 in the Southern Football League, the match ended n a 1-1 draw. We have met The Mighty Rovers on 46 occasions with our record Won 21, Drawn 8 and lost 17, our biggest win came in August 2000 at Honeycroft in a Ryman League match when we ran out 8-2 winners with goals from Tunnell (2), Ryder, Moore (3) and Clarke (2). Our biggest loss was more recent, in a Southern League match in August 2016 when Barton won 4-0 at Sharpenhoe Road. We have already met this season winning 1-0 in August 2017, Joe Wright with the winner.
