Before kicking off against Ryman League Wingate & Finchley at Arbour Park in the Buildbase FA Trophy on Saturday, the Rebels launched their 2016 Slough Town FC Christmas Toy Appeal for youngsters in the oncology ward and children’s ward at Slough's Wexham Park Hospital.
The EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club's players and management will be visiting the wards on Thursday 22 December and club officials are hoping fans and local businesses will make sure they have plenty of gifts Christmas to bring along and hand out.
Supporters are being asked to bring unwrapped donations to the club's home games on Saturday 3 December against Frome Town, on Tuesday 13 December when they host MK Dons and Saturday 17 December when they are home to Kettering Town.
A club spokesman said: "Christmas is just a month away and we are appealing to all Rebels supporters, the general public and businesses to pick up an extra children's present while Christmas shopping and donate it to our appeal.
"The ward has patients aged from 5 days to 18 years old. Ideas for presents would include board games, art sets, toiletry sets for teenagers and baby toys and books for the younger children."
