Wednesday's Premier Division Review

By Jack Moore

Frome Town moved into seventh place in the Evo-Stik League South Premier table on Wednesday night following a 3-1 at the Alder Smith Stadium against lowly Dorchester Town.

rome came into the game having won their previous four league matches, and took only 11 minutes to take the lead when Jake Jackson went on a run, shrugged off a couple of defenders and rounded veteran Magpies `keeper Chris Weale.

Dorchester, who suffered a Buildbase FA Trophy `shock` at the weekend after losing to lower league Heybridge Swifts, came back into the game and eventually pulled back on level terms 7 minutes before half-time when a corner was only half-cleared and Mo Baghdadi beat Frome `keeper Kyle Phillips from just outside the box.

The second half became a little niggly, with the book being produced on several occasions.

Then, with 11 minutes remaining, Frome restored their lead when a log ball by Sam Teale found Jon Davies, who turned on the edge of box and fired past Weale into top corner.

And 6 minutes later, it was game over when Joe Raynes clipped the ball through to Jackson who scored on the turn to make it 3-1.
