Second-bottom Aylesbury United were looking for back-to-back wins in the Evo-Stik League South East on Wednesday when they hosted mid-table Bedford Town at The Meadow.
Still under caretaker-manager Ben Williams, the Ducks fell behind with a controversial goal after 16 minutes when, following a Callum Donnelly corner to the near post, David Manu got a touch to the ball and it squirmed away from Aylesbury `keeper Jack Sillitoe. The ball was cleared away, but the assistant flagged, indicating that the ball had crossed the line.
The Eagles doubled their lead in the 23rd minute when David Moli took advantage of uncertainty in the defence to race away and loft the ball over Sillitoe on the edge of the area.
Injury-hit Ducks conceded a third goal 13 minutes from time on the breakaway when Moli and Devante Stanley combined for Ashton Grant to lift the ball over Sillitoe.
The win lifts Bedford to thirteenth in the table, while the Ducks remain in twenty-first, ten points above bottom side Arlesey Town.
