Diamonds' run-in starts tonight

AFC Rushden & Diamonds’ run-in to the end of the Evo-Stik South League East season starts tonight (Tuesday) as they take on Thame United at Hayden Road.

Ten days have passed since Diamonds were last in action after the ‘Beast From The East’ decimated the local non-League football scene at the weekend.

Andy Peaks’ men find themselves in an unusual position as they bid to bounce back from the 2-1 defeat they suffered at Egham Town last time out. That loss ended a 17-match unbeaten run in the league but Diamonds can move five points clear at the top with a win this evening as they bid to secure one of the two automatic promotion places.
