City Lose At Home

By Jack Moore

Cambridge City entertained fellow Evo-Stik League South, East promotion-chasers AFC Dunstable on Monday night looking to move to within a point of long-time leaders Moneyfields.

However, City suffered a frustrating evening at Westwood Road.

Despite dominating large parts of the match, City were unable to breach a well-drilled visiting defence.

After a goalless opening 45 minutes, it was the visitors who broke the deadlock after 65 minutes through Leon Cashman.

And then in the 85th minute, AFC Dunstable confirmed victory that lifted them up to fourth place, a point behind City, when Jermaine Hall added the second goal.
