We are pleased to announce that Robbie Burns will be rejoining the club after taking time out to spend with the new addition to his family.
In this period Robbie was able to have surgery on a hernia and he trained for the first time at Thursday’s session.
We would like to welcome Robbie back and we are sure he will be a valuable addition to the squad for the remainder of the season.
The 27-year-old midfielder left the club last summer to take time away from football following the birth of his first child.
Burns also had a hernia operation during his break and trained with the club for the first time since the operation earlier this week.
His return to the Canaries will see him begin his fourth spell with the club having first signed from Nuneaton Town in 2013.
Burns came through Leicester City’s academy and made two appearances in League One for Tranmere Rovers back in 2009.
The midfielders return will provide a timely boost for manager Mark Burke as his side – currently sat 6th in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division – look to make another push for the playoffs this season after narrowly losing two consecutive finals.
Hitchin visit Banbury United on Saturday as they look to pick up back-to-back wins following the 6-0 derby thrashing of Kings Langley.
