Club Statement

The club are pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Poole as the new first team manager.

Based in the Thame area, Kev has been managing within local football for 17 years, starting in Sunday league with the successful Royal Oak side, he went on to manage Launton in the Hellenic saving them from certain relegation, Oakley Utd the Oxford/ Slough and county champions for several years before taking over at Thame Rangers last season winning Sml 2, the Wycombe & Slough senior cups. An Fa level 2 coach,

Kev has worked previously for Oxford and Reading community coaching but now works in the Building design & renovation trade.

The new manager said “Aylesbury FC will be a step up but with a huge knowledge of capable local players, I’m confident we can steady the ship and improve results ready for next season.”
Kev will be assisted by Dave Morris,

Dave had a long playing career playing for Chesham United, Maidenhead United and old rivals Flackwell Heath where he was captain for a season, during his playing days he also played at Holmer Green and Penn & Tylers Green.

After moving to Eynsham in the mid 90s he played for and then managed Eynsham First team to promotion and consecutive cup finals over three seasons. In 2016/17 season he moved to Kidlington where he helped Kidlington Res to promotion to the Hellenic league and won the Challenge Cup.
