Boss Matty Holmes wants Wimborne Town skipper Scott Arnold to be 'sensible'

Comeback after injury

WIMBORNE Town boss Matty Holmes believes skipper Scott Arnold must show "maturity" over his return from injury.

Defender Arnold has been struggling with a groin problem for the past fortnight but could make his comeback at Cirencester Town on Saturday (3pm).

The 32-year-old was on the bench for the 5-2 win over Shortwood United last weekend but did not come on, in line with Holmes's pre-game plan.

Holmes told the Daily Echo: "Scotty should be okay. We have Taunton on Tuesday so he should feature in one of the two games.

"He's got to listen to the physio and his manager to make sure we get him back for the season. He's desperate to play but that maturity needs to show.

"If he tweaks it again then he could be out for three or four weeks, so it's just a matter of being sensible."
