BOSS Paul Collicutt is warning Evesham United to beware of a backlash from managerless Swindon Supermarine tonight (7.45).
The Southern League West play-off rivals do battle at the Jubilee Stadium four days after Supermarine suffered a 5-0 home thrashing against Bideford.
That result led to the sacking of manager Dave Webb last night in spite of ninth-placed Swindon remaining within two points of the in-form Robins in fourth.
“They had a result I know they will be upset by but I have no doubt they will be very focused,” said Collicutt.
“We had a good result ourselves on Saturday against a dogged side and it was pleasing with the two new lads coming in and doing well.
“Had we managed to take one or two of the other chances we created we would have made life a lot easier for ourselves but having said that, their keeper put in a top-notch performance.
“Our games with Supermarine are generally tight but they do like to play the right way so we should see a good contest.
"It will be very difficult, they are one of the favourites to be involved in the play-offs and like to play attractive football."
Archie Haskayne should recover from a knock but doubts linger over the fitness of Paul Fahy (shoulder) and Jordan Bryan (ankle). Defender Matt Bennett is unavailable.
