Banbury United Sponsor

By Jack Moore

The Board of Banbury United have announced that Bakers Coaches will continue to provide transport to all the club’s away matches for the 2017-18 season and will become known as the club’s Official Travel Partner Sponsor.

The family firm based in Moreton in the Marsh have been supporting Banbury United for the past two seasons and Puritans Chairman Ronnie Johnson was quick to praise the service Bakers gives the club and said “Mike Baker and his team at Bakers Coaches have given us fantastic support over the past two years since we became a Community Owned Club. Having a professional firm transport our players, officials and supporters to away games is very important to us and ensures everyone is relaxed on arrival. Travel to away games can be a considerable cost to non-league clubs at any level but with the sponsorship from Mike Baker we’re able to keep our outgoings as low as we possibly can.”

Bakers Coaches owner Mike Baker was also pleased to confirm his support for Banbury United and said “Bakers coaches are delighted to be the official travel partner for the club and we’re pleased that we can help Banbury United with everything they’re trying to do. They’ve had some great results on the pitch in the past two years and I hope with us providing transport for the club, it does help the team on some of the long journeys they have to make in the Southern League Premier Division.”
