Hereford suffered their first ever back to back defeats in the League. Hereford were a goal down in the first minute and struggled to carve out any direct attempts on goal despite having the majority of possession. Symons hit the bar mid way through the first half but couldn’t convert pressure into goals.
Hereford finally got on level terms in the 62nd minute with a Jordan Liburd header after Mills and Smith had been introduced a few seconds earlier. Basingstoke repelled further attacks and scored with a set piece in the 75th minute with the ball scraping over the line.
With Hereford throwing players forward Basingstoke then broke away to score a fine 3rd goal consigning The Bulls to defeat.
